My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we are asked about a rescue that is not only adorable..but very fun-loving and SO sweet, we immediately come up with Pippa. Her smile is shining...and maybe just a bit mischievous. This curious and really, really smart 9 to 14 month old, 9.4 lb. Yorkie/Cairn mix is a truly devoted and kind companion. Even though she's up for pretty much any activity, she's never pushy or yappy. Pippa doesn't require tons of exercise..a spot on a comfy couch is just right for this lap-dog extradordinaire. Mental stimulation is also important to this girl to keep her happy and well-behaved. It's not that she requires extensive amounts of anything, just enough to keep her healthy and stimulated. Since Pippa loves kids (she's an awesome best friend and protector) and other dogs, a game of fetch or cuddling playfully in the yard is right down this engaging pup's alley. She would be overjoyed with a mellow walk around the neighborhood...Pippa derives so much joy from her interaction with others, We would love to see her in a nurturing family that just loves her dearly. She's a great pup who deserves this in her life. Once she truly bonds (she's initially just a bit shy but warms up very quickly), Pippa loves to give nose kisses and big hugs to her favorite people. She's a natural fashionista..and loves to look at herself in cute sweaters and bright ribbons...really! She feels so deeply and is forever patient to get attention... sometimes she will gently place a paw on her person's arm as if to say, "I'm here and I love you".
This adorable and humorous Yorkie/Cairn mix may shed ever so lightly...but if so...periodic baths with a great brushing will keep any hair loss to a minimum. Pippa will require great nutrition to keep her gorgeous coat shiny and cotton-soft. Pippa is not suggested for those with severe allergy concerns.

Pippa will be transported to Denver on 7/18/2014. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and devoted companion.
