My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People!
I’m Bijou, a very happy and grateful senior Bichon who loves everything and everyone! And I want everyone to know it because Life is Good! I LOVE my foster Mom! I LOVE car rides! I LOVE to walk! I LOVE other dogs.

Mom says that I am very charming and devoted - and that I love to please. She says I give clues about what I need and she knows how to interpret those clues (Mom is really smart, too.) So when I want a belly rub, a good walk or time or to cuddle Mom knows just what to do!

Dad says I’m a happy, healthy, exuberant guy who simply appreciates life. I’m really mellow, rarely bark and am happy to meet everyone. I come when I’m called (and that’s pretty darn good at our house!) and when I see my family I practically levitate. (Yes, that’s what Dad said and he means it. I get so excited that I literally get all four paws off the ground – and smile the whole time!)

Besides being a loving guy, I’m housebroken (no typo there), in great health, am a good eater and great sleeper. Mom says I’m so good that I get to sleep in the big people’s bed!

I would love to have my own family and a doggy brother or sister too. You see I had both before, then our Mom died and Dad didn’t want us. We got separated but I found all the love I needed in my foster home. Now I’m seeking my special person or two to snuggle with in my forever and ever home. In return, I will do my best to keep everyone smiling, feeling important and loved. (That will be easy for me because whoever adopts me will be my whole world.)

So if you are looking for a best friend who will provide lots of happy and mellow moments and enjoys a good cuddle, then I am the dog for the job. And I am ready for my life’s next assignment.

Waiting to meet and greet you,
Big-hearted and Blissful Bijou
