Tomi's Story...
I'm Tomi and I'm a purebred Golden Retriever. I'm four to five years old. My previous family broke my heart. You see, I ended up in a shelter as a stray and I was so excited when they came to get me. But then they refused to pay the small fine to get me. I don't understand why they left me there. I don't think I did anything wrong. I was very depressed and confused when they left without me. But I'm very happy to be living in a house again. I'm a beautiful dog -- at least that's what everyone says about me! I get along with other dogs and I love attention from people. I'm crate trained and housetrained, of course. I'm looking forward to finding a family who will love me forever and I promise to do my best to be a very good dog.

We require an application, phone interview, and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $225 and dogs over 9 months is $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tomi, a Evergreen Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
