My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skipper. Our rescue team snagged him and his sister, Ginger, from an overcrowded shelter. He is NOT SHY, very independent and loves to explore. He likes other dogs if they are his size but not bigger dogs and may bark at them on his walks. He loves company and is is very affectionate. He does not acclimate well to strangers in the house and may bark or become agitated if they move around too much, so he is a little territorial. He is housetrained if given access to the outdoors, otherwise - puppy pads. He hasn’t quite figured out the concept of the leash and needs a little more work to be able to walk nicely at heel without dashing off looking for adventures. Skipper likes to chase and retrieve balls. He sleeps comfortably in his crate at night. He is a fast learner and eager to please. He gets along with everybody he meets including his sister, Ginger, who shares his foster home. He is a terrier/wire-haired Jack Russell mix, weighs 8 lbs and is about one year old. Because he is still a kid he likes to jump around excitedly. He can be trained not to do this but, right now, we are thinking that a home without small children would be best for him. Won’t you open up your heart and your home to him?
