Rosie desires to curl up under a blanket and sit on your lap. She needs a quiet home with no children and minimal activity. She is timid and loud noises scare her. She will open up to you once she views you as a safe person. She is currently learning new tricks like 'sit' and 'kennel.' She needs a strong leader-type person who has experience with small dogs. She is food motivated. When she gets excited she runs in circles, (This is how we came up with her name, like ring around the rosie.) Update* Rosie is learning to walk well on a leash! She is quite a character! Update** Rosie Lynne as she is sometimes called has mastered 'sit' and 'kennel!' She is so smart. We are now working on 'laydown' and 'stay.' Won't you please consider her? She has so much love to give the right forver family.
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
