Hannah would be a great family pet - Submissive personality and LOVES kids.  She is a BIG puppy - loves to get in your lap and give slobbery kisses.  She is such a goof. She is about 6 years old and full grown at about 60 lbs. Well, actually she has gained a little bit of weight and is currently on a diet to get back down to 60 lbs.)

She is up to date on shots, has been spayed and micro-chipped and is living in a foster home in Ft. Lauderdale. We enrolled her in a training class and her foster mom takes her on daily walks through the neighborhood.

Housebroken, couch potato, crate trained, walks well on a leash -- GREAT COMPANION.

She is simply delightful!   Gets along very well with kids, including young squealing ones... and loves MOST other dogs (except small in-your-face types) but the introduction to the new dog must be gradual.  She does not do well with dogs who try to be dominant over her -- OR -- with small dogs or cats of any size.  She has a delightful personality and very deserving of a new loving forever home.

Interested parties should email us for an application to adopt:

A nominal adoption fee of $150 will apply but the fee could be waived for the right home.

NOTE: Adoption fees are applied towards the vet bill: exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, and microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next pet - who had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.

About Grateful Paws Dog & Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal loving people who volunteer our time to save the life of a dog or cat in need. We are not breed specific but our ability to help depends entirely upon whether we have a foster home in which to place the pet while we are looking for a new forever home.

We are entirely volunteer and none of us are compensated for our time or efforts. Monies donated go toward the animals in our care.

Come Meet Our Pets...

For the most part, we reply primarily on the internet because we all work full-time jobs during the week!

We do not have a physical building - but we try to participate in Saturday (and sometimes a Sunday) adoption events from 11am - 3pm on a regular basis. Please check our website for our most current calendar that shows where we will be.

It is always best to check the Upcoming Events page of our website

or give us a call to find out where we are going to be. Week nights 954-462-8840 eves after 8pm or on the week-ends: 954-579-3753.

Our EMAIL is monitored day and night, and is the BEST way to contact us.

Our Adoption Process...

We perform a telephone or in-person interview and ask our perspective adopters to complete an application for review by our board (generally takes a day or less). We want to meet the family, so we will come to your house to see where our pet will live. We do a vet check and if applicable, a landlord or condo association check as well. And finally, we accept an adoption donation that is applied towards the vet and care bill for that pet. The range is from $75 to $350.
