Benny's Story...
"Hi! My name is BENNY, and I'm a three-year-old Beagle who wants to win over your heart. I'm friendly, sociable, and smart, plus I'm pretty darn good-looking, if I do say so myself. I'd be a great family pet, and I'm sure to become a beloved member of the family. I'd want to have a brisk daily walk, and I'd love to have a soft dog bed in the house so I can be close to you. I get along well with other dogs, and I know how to sit on command. The shelter staff isn't sure yet if I've been house trained, so I'll probably need a refresher course when I get to my new home. An intelligent dog like me can probably learn just about anything you want to teach me, and I'll respond well to a patient, firm leader. Won't you please come visit me? I'm at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, and I'd love to meet you. We can spend some time getting to know each other in the nice play yard that they have here. I think that once you see my handsome face and experience my easy-going nature, you'll want to take me home and love me forever. Love, Benny" Kennel #18

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a El Cajon Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
