Mia's Story...
My Name is Mia and I have a few years of experience on some of the other Paws Rescue cats. Although technically, I’m referred to as a “senior” cat, I am of the adage that age is all in the mind. I am healthy, active and have lots and lots of great years ahead of me – I just need someone to give me a second chance. I am a little bit shy at first but I warm up pretty fast. I really do like people but I also like to have my quiet time. I would be so happy to have a soft lap to where I can snuggle with my person while we’re watching television or, better yet, the birds outside. I have been vaccinated have already been spayed. I am in a Paws Rescue foster home with other dogs and cats, but I’d really like to have a home and a person of my very own. I tolerate other animals but I wouldn’t say I necessarily like them all that much. If you are someone who is past the “kittens climbing your curtains” years, I may very well be the special cat for you. I have a lot of love left to give so if you are interested in adopting me, please contact Paws Rescue at Leigh@pawsrescuepets.org or call 601-529-1535. My adoption fee is only $25. If you can’t adopt me, please share my story to help me find that very special home that I just know is out there somewhere for me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Redwood Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Redwood, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Redwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
