Mozart's Story...
** MOZART's adoption fee is $160. **

I'm a big boy, though I can probably still curl up in your lap, and a Russian Blue mix. Hi, I'm MOZART! A gentle soul and a sweetheart with a big purr, I am all about petting and snuggling .. and batting around toy mice. I'm good with a tall scratch post too. I'm fine all by myself, but one other laidback cat is okay too. Young kids are too much for me, but an older quieter kid is fine, as long as they don't mind me sleeping with them. A well-behaved quieter dog is alright, though I don't really want a kid AND a cat AND a dog. I like men (women are fine) and I'm looking for someone I can follow around -- is that you?

** Adoption hours are 1-4:00 on weekends at the Aurora PETSMART (976 S. Rt. 59) and the Naperville PETCO (348 S. Rt. 59), and 11-2:00 at the Naperville PETSMART (Rt. 59 and 111th) -- or by appointment. To make an appointment or for more information, call PURRS at 630-815-4520 -- OR, for faster service, email purrsnaperville@yahoo.com.

** All PURRS' cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLeuk tested, wormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mozart, a Hillside Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
