MAX's Story...
Max is a GREAT PUP, REALLY SUPER SWEET and WELL BEHAVED. He knows sit, stay, shake, and lay down and is leash trained. Sadly Max was dumped at the shelter by his owner on July 16th. They said he is GOOD WITH KIDS and POTTY TRAINED. Max is about 8 mos old and currently weighs 52 lbs so he will likely be a fairly big boy. He is current on vaccines, neutered, micro chipped and will be heartworm tested upon adoption. His ID is 567704 and he is in run 849.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAX, a Marietta Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
