found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Her social skills indicate that she did live in a home and it seems that losing her humans and home have made her a little bit shy. But, she is working on regaining her confidence and would love to be in a quieter home with a family that will be very patient with her and lavish her with love and attention to help her blossom.
From her actions it seems like Akela would like to live with a family with a canine companion. She has already made some canine friends at the facility and is happily sharing her space, toys and attention with all of them.
Once she relaxes, she lets her fun side show and is always ready to give kisses as she enjoys the attention lavished on her. Akela is excitedly looking forward to her next family – come meet her to see what a great companion she will make.
You can meet Akela any day at the Coronado Animal Care Facility between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in adopting Akela, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor. Or, you may complete the online dog adoption application.
If you have any questions, please contact the Dog Adoption Team online or call Karen at 619-437-0220.
