Gatti's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gatti's Story...
Gatti is young, neutered male (born 9-24-11). He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, house trained and crate trained. We are working on his leash manners.

Gatti and Majii were surrendered to rescue after their family went through a divorce and could no longer care for them. He has lived with children, cats, small dogs, and other Akitas. He is best friends with Majii, but we feel he could bond with another female if the right girl comes along. :) He is young with energy, so we feel like he will need a home with another large dog to play with!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gatti, a Virginia Beach Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
