Stella is a stunning, traditionally marked, purebred, rough-coated, 8 month old Border Collie pup. She will get anyone's attention the minute they see her! Stella came into our program as an Owner Turn In because her people didn't have the time to dedicate to her training and busy mind and body. She is a little standoffish at first meeting but eventually warms right up to you. She loves to play with other dogs and gets along with every dog she meets. Stella will need puppy classes to get her more socialized, especially with other people, and make her a happier girl.
She would do well in a family with older children and who are Border Collie savvy. Stella is not for the first time Border Collie owner. She will need someone who understands and has experience with herding breeds, Border Collies in particular. Stella rides well in a vehicle, is crate trained, knows "sit" and "stay", does ok on a leash (she will need work on this) and just wants to please. She loves to play ball and is beginning to get in the kiddie pools at her foster home.
Stella is spayed, crate trained, microchipped and UTD on all her vaccinations.
