Gem's Story...
Your first instinct when you find a precious gem? Hold on to it tight! That's what a good Samaritan did when she found Gem as a stray. Impressed by the dog's good nature, the girl decided to keep her. But, being a student and having a full time job doesn't allow much time to for an active pup, so she reluctantly realized Gem deserved better.

Gem is an exuberant 1-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix, full of pep and vigor. She's healthy, weighs about 18 pounds and is 95% house-trained! She gets along with dogs and loves people of all ages. She'd make a motivating running mate. She loves toys so could probably learn to catch a frisbee too! Right now she's pretty awesome at snagging soft toys as you can see!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gem, a Marietta Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
