found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
Approximate age / weight: 2 years old and 58lbs.
Arrival story: Dakota was pulled from a northern shelter where a plea was put out to save her. She had been sitting at the shelter for several months and was starting to shut down. She was getting depressed and losing fur. All the staff and volunteers loved her and couldn't understand why she wasn't getting adopted. Waggin' Tails knew that Dakota deserved a second chance and sprung her from the shelter.
Personality: Dakota is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle. She is very playful and enjoys playing tug. Dakota can spend hours outside getting her sniffs in and watching what's going on in the neighborhood. She walks great on a leash and loves going for walks. Dakota is not a high energy girl but she still needs exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy. She is a very smart girl who loves eating her meals out of Kongs or food puzzles. She appears to get overly excited when she sees other dogs and plays too rough. She would do best as an only dog.
Forever home: Dakota would love a family to call her own. Someone who will take her on walks and play with her in the back yard. She needs a physically fenced yard. She would not do well with an electric fence. Dakota is looking for someone who will show her the love and affection she deserves.

To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
