Dakota - WATCH MY VIDEO!'s Story...
Good With Kids: Dakota would prefer a home with older children
Good With Other Dogs: Dakota is excited when she sees other dogs and wants to play too hard. She would do best as the only dog
Good With Cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Almost there
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes, Dakota is a very smart girl
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: None

Approximate age / weight: 2 years old and 58lbs.

Arrival story: Dakota was pulled from a northern shelter where a plea was put out to save her. She had been sitting at the shelter for several months and was starting to shut down. She was getting depressed and losing fur. All the staff and volunteers loved her and couldn't understand why she wasn't getting adopted. Waggin' Tails knew that Dakota deserved a second chance and sprung her from the shelter.

Personality: Dakota is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle. She is very playful and enjoys playing tug. Dakota can spend hours outside getting her sniffs in and watching what's going on in the neighborhood. She walks great on a leash and loves going for walks. Dakota is not a high energy girl but she still needs exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy. She is a very smart girl who loves eating her meals out of Kongs or food puzzles. She appears to get overly excited when she sees other dogs and plays too rough. She would do best as an only dog.

Forever home: Dakota would love a family to call her own. Someone who will take her on walks and play with her in the back yard. She needs a physically fenced yard. She would not do well with an electric fence. Dakota is looking for someone who will show her the love and affection she deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota - WATCH MY VIDEO!, a Northville American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Northville, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
