Dakota recently was groomed as her long fur became matted and she wouldn't tolerate brushing. Now that she has a clean cut, she is better about getting brushed so her fur can grow long again and be properly taken care of.
Hi I'm Dakota and I'm 4 1/2 years old. I'm an eager and affectionate girl that is not shy about getting what I want--your undivided attention. I don't care to share your love with any other cats so I'm best by myself. I've thrived in my foster home and adore all the attention, treats and toys to play with. I'm just a beautiful ball of fur that wants to be spoiled desperately. Perching by the window is one of my favorite ways to relax. Unfortunately when I was rescued, I tested positive for FIV. But I still deserve a forever home that will give me the love I am seeking for. Could you be the one?
FIV, or Feline AIDS, is most often contracted through contact during territorial fights, therefore common in males. Positive cats can live relatively healthy lives for many years and can live with other cats as long as no fighting occurs. Unfortunately, Dakota has decided that she never wants any kitty friends, just humans.
