My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rowan is a sweet male terrier mix who is about 1 years old. He was part of a litter that was fostered last summer along with their momma, Poppy and all the puppies were adopted. However, Rowan's new family decided to rehome him when their son developed an allergy. They didn't choose very well and the people that they rehomed him with dumped him in a neighborhood several miles from their home. Poor Rowan! Fortunately, an awesome family found him and rescued him and checked his microchip. And so he found his way back to a Soft Place to Land! He is now being fostered by his original foster family, who adopted one of his sisters! The two of them have a great time playing together. Rowan gets along well with other dogs, with all people, including children (who he absolutely adores), and has even begun to get used to cats (he mostly ignores them). He loves to go for walks, play fetch (which he is getting really good at), and snuggle on your lap. In fact, snuggling is his favorite thing. He curls up next to you on the couch and just revels in getting petted. He is high energy, so he will need attention, but he is not naughty. He is very smart and has been good at learning easy cues such as sit. He is mostly potty trained, except under high anxiety situations, so his new family may need to be patient with him in the beginning. However, in his foster's home, it only took him about 3 days to get used to his new surroundings. Rowan is good with children, but because of his energy level we do not recommend him for a home with children under 5 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and very healthy. His adoption fee is $225. You can fill out an application at http://www.softplacetoland.org/dog-adoption-application/
