Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PRECIOUS is an 18 month old black spayed female who weighs 45 pounds. She's a very happy dog who loves to be around you and to be petted. She has learned to play with a squeaky ball, think it's her first toy, she carries it with her and rest her head on it when she sleeps. If you would like a very sweet companion to keep you company while you learn to work together she is the one for you! She's good with other dogs crates well. Precious comes from the country and probably would not do well in a city in an apartment/condo environment. She is HeartWorm positive (Lab Rescue will pay for Heartworm treatment if done at one of our vets). She's approved for kids aged 10+. More info on her soon!
Update (8/04): Precious is doing very well. She adjusts quickly to different environments and she loves to be with people. At 18 months her enthusiasm and playfulness shows she is still very much a puppy. She enjoys playing with other dogs, jumping and leaping around. She also plays well by herself, usually rolling around on her back with her stuffed toys.
She has thick and shiny jet black fur and expressive chocolate brown eyes. She eats well and is learning about treats, which she takes from your hand with the most gentle mouth ever. She does not like to get into the car, but once in, she rides well. She also is not fond of her crate and is a bit stubborn about getting in it but settles down after barking for a only minute or two. She had jumped a few times when excited to greet someone, but is working on that.. She is very smart and takes direction well. Precious is a very lovable and happy dog. She saw a cat at the vet and was interested but fine. She gets along well with all the dogs she has met!
From LR Evaluation: This is Precious and the name fits her. She is very sweet, calm and precious. She was an owner turn in (didn't have time for her). She was an outside dog and knows only sit. She is good with other dogs as the previous owner had two others.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
