My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben is the definition of “perfection” as a companion dog. This little guy has totally stolen the heart of his foster mom because he is so good and easy. This boy is probably an Australian Terrier mixed with something that caused the black and white coloring, which is not Australian Terrier colors. He is about 3-4 years old and weighs 13 pounds. His size, stand up ears and stature lends itself to the Terrier breed and he has the Australian Terrier sweet temperament. Ben was taken by his owner to a rural and dirty kill shelter in TN, with no reason given for dropping him off. He does have a boo boo on his nose from being with the big boys in the pound. He was with dogs that were around 60 pounds or bigger. The animal control guy said Ben didn't take anything from the bigger dogs and he held his own. His collar was on too tight so he has some hair loss around his neck. His foster mom says he is just the cutest thing and he will follow you around wherever you go and loves to just lay in your lap. Not hyper at all...or nippy...His foster mom just happened to go to the shelter on her lunch break the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. She fell in love with his sweet face and had to take him home! Ben is a survivor as he fought off the big dogs and then beat the high odds of making it out of the shelter that day. He is crate trained and house trained. He gets along great with dogs and cats, loves to snuggle and he walks well on a leash. He is a very smart boy and always comes when called. He even loves to have a bath. If you are looking for a snuggler to watch movies with or someone to take walks with, then Ben is your guy. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
