Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Olenna's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Olenna's Story...
Big fan of: Playtime! If you’ve got toys, I know we’ll become fast friends! I like wand toys, toys with feathers and catnip plush toys (but between you and me: I got a little scared the first time I played with one of those bird toys that makes the chirping noise—I did NOT see that coming!)

Not a big fan of: Not being the center of attention. I love people and even more importantly, I want to make sure that people love ME! I love to curl up with my human friends at night, and start the day off right with an early morning chat!

A little more… I am a sweet cat who loves to cuddle and give kisses. My foster mom said I always stayed nearby in my foster home, and loved to keep an eye on her by following her around from room to room. I’m very much a big kitten and I still have some mouthy behaviors. However, with regular play sessions and a little training, I have learned a lot. I’m a real people pleaser and I can’t wait to show my new family all the progress I’ve made!

Dream home: I would do very well in an adults-only home with experienced cat owners. Because I’m a young, active cat, I will need a family who is willing to work with me and provide daily play sessions. I’m a social butterfly and I would love a home where someone is around frequently to keep me company— I don’t like to be alone for too long. I’m a smart girl and my foster mom said I was quick to learn the rules of the house—and follow them, no less! I love attention and am eager to give as much love and affection back as I receive. If you’re looking for a new best friend, I’m your girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olenna, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
