Trixie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and not good with dogs.

Trixie's Story...
Big fan of: Toys! Trixie likes to practice her hunting skills on spongy ball toys and small catnip mice. She also absolutely loves looking out the window and listening to birds. This pretty lady is a big fan of mealtime- mainly chicken and beef varieties. No seafood, please.

Not a big fan of: Dogs. Trixie is a little scared of dogs and will run and hide at the sound of them. She is not the biggest fan of sitting in laps, but she loves belly rubs!

A little more… Trixie was described by her foster parent as a “hidden gem of a cat”! She is confident, laid back, and friendly with people. She is a purring machine who has an adorable chirp that she will use when she is looking for you or when she is hungry. Trixie can become overstimulated and needs an adopter who can show her how to release her energy through constructive play activities. She is loyal to her human companions and will gladly cuddle with them at night. This grey and white lady has a grey spot on her right shoulder that, when she turns the right way, looks just like a heart. She is a beauty inside and out!

Dream home: While Trixie gets along with most cats, she would shine best as a single cat or with a gentle, easy going feline companion. She would be most appreciative of having a window where she can watch birds and plenty of toys to keep her busy. Can you give Trixie the home she has been dreaming of?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
