Katie Mae says, "Hi! My name is Katie Mae! I jut finished my photo shoot for "Pawsitively Gorgeous Hounds" magazine... I have been making the rounds looking for my Forever Home, so it's important to put my best paw forward! So, here's a little about me... I am 10 years young and have been all "fixed" up and am very healthy and up to date on all things medical and medicinal! I love long walks in grassy meadows and enjoy all kinds of music! My human got sick and passed on and am now quite comfy in my Foster Home with a new brother and sister... I love being with my Foster Mom, she totally rocks! I just like being around her and next to her on the couch... sometimes I follow her around so I can keep my eye on her, she's kinda sneaky- especially when she's doing laundry and such, always moving around the house. I enjoy lots of ear and belly rubs and like sleeping at her feet so I can keep them warm... I used to have a buddy named Kooper, grew up with him, loved him, but he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and I thought I was all alone, he was my bonded friend. But, since I have a new mom and friends to be with, I am doing great! I don't get anxious when she leaves the house, but am always happy to see her when she comes home. I do all my "girl" business outside like a proper lady should as I have my own private door to go through... during the day I snooze and dream of sitting next to my human on the couch at night. Here are a few words from my Mom...". Wow, what a kind and loving hound Katie Mae is! She loves to be around you and always wants to be near - seems to be very aware of her settings as she will hang back out of a crowd and wait to be called, perhaps somewhere in her past life she was always/had to be submissive to other dogs. A soft voice is all you need to call her, she will come running. She has a good appetite and will eat what is put in front of her. I can't say enough about how sweet and perfect she is - a loving companion to anyone who will give a senior girl a chance! I do not have cats, so I can't say how she would react to them, but she loves all people and children who will pet her and show her kindness. She is so gentle in everything and is great with my own hounds!
