Minnie's Story...
Meet Winnie....a very young coonhound mix female. Minnie is a young coonhound who was found running loose with Mickey in the area of Maplewood. For a while they appeared to be inseperable. However, we have been able to make progress and the two have been doing just fine apart, though they still enjoy when they get to be together. Her time with Mickey has enabled her to get along with the other dogs at the shelter. She has not yet been tested with cats. If interested, please come down to the shelte to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Sidney Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
