I was found as a stray and taken into Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. One of the volunteers was spending a little time with me and my foster mom saw me and just could not leave me there, so she took me home. I am really enjoying it at her house. I have 8 other foster brother and sisters to play with, and boy – do we play!
I am learning a lot of things I did not know before – how to use a doggie door, walking on a leash, learning to potty outside, how to behave myself out in public. I am actually very shy until I get to know you, but once in a while I will bark at something and try to act like a big dog.
I am a complete love sponge and if you are around there I will be. I love to be with my humans and will settle right down next to you in bed and sleep all night long if you will let me.
I have lots of energy, so if you do not have a yard and a canine brother or sister for me to stay occupied with, be prepared to take me for lots of walks and spend lots of time playing with me.
I am almost completely house trained, doggie door trained and walk well on a leash. I am inquisitive and curious, albeit a bit shy at first.
I think I would do okay in a home with older children, as I have not been exposed to little ones and they would probably scare me with their noise and fast movements.
