Niko's Story...
Niko is a young (approx 1 year old) male dalmation mix. He is a perfect size, only 40 lbs. Such a sweetheart of a boy. Very calm, gentle, lovable- but not needy or hyper at all. He has great house manners, walks easily on a leash without pulling, house trained and crate trained. He is exceptionally responsive and even a little on the shy/sensitive side. He sure never wants to disappoint you. He is also not at all food aggressive or food motivated. Just wants to please and be loved.
Right now Niko is enjoying his fellow rescued foster Cody. They play constantly, but he is also very calm and respectful with dogs who aren't interested in playing.
Niko would be a perfect pet for someone wanting a lovable companion or a playmate for another canine friend. Sorry but don't know how he is with cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Niko, a Charlotte Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
