Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sandy is a perfectly well-behaved and beautiful 2 year old pup who has the color of a boxer or mastiff, the nose of a Labrador Retriever, and the body of a shepherd dog. After looking at pictures of different shepherd breeds, I think she may be mostly Dutch Shepherd, and they are considered among the smartest dog breeds in the world..
She has a stunning coat – she has black and yellow stripes, so her coat looks somewhat brindle.
Beautiful Sandy weighs 50 pounds, so she isn’t too big and she isn’t too small – she is good size dog for running, hiking, camping and biking.
She is not a barker, and I know I would feel safe walking with her even at night – she is very gentle and loving, but at her size, I can also see her as a good protector dog.
Sandy is great with all my other dogs, both the big ones and the little ones, and she gets along fine with kitties.
She is great with children—good-natured and sweet.
Sandy loves to ride in the car, and she is also perfectly content to hang around all day.
Sandy is also good with farm animals – I rescue everything from hens to horses, so she is used to it all!
Sandy was found near a busy 2 lane highway as a stray dog. She was malnourished , but is now at a perfect weight and is wonderfully healthy and hearty.
Sandy has been seen by a dog behaviorist and has passed all of the temperament tests with flying colors – she is such a wonderful pup and will make a great family buddy.
She is, of course, spayed and up to date on all of her shots so she shouldn’t need any special vet care until next year when she gets her annual shots.
