My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Taz! This goof ball is quite the character. He enjoys wrestling with his furry foster brother, walks and food! He is very much a ladies man and loves attention from women. He is a little shy with men at first, but warms up quickly. Taz does not like being kenneled and will let you know if you are home and he is in his crate. He was a little malnourished when he came into rescue, so he eats his food as fast as possible. To slow down this process he eats with a Kong tumbler in his bowl. Without it he would be considered a vacuum. Speaking of vacuums, Taz finds those a little scary and you will often find him hiding in a corner when the vacuum comes out.

Taz is a very sweet boy who had a rough start to life. He enjoys affection, especially in the morning. Taz would do better with a fenced yard as he can chew up a leash when left unattended, he cannot go to home that uses a tie out. Taz would enjoy a house with a playmate as he gets some of his confidence from seeing what the other pups are up to. He enjoys walks and would be a happy boy if his new family were taking him exploring often. Taz shows no signs of aggression towards any animals. He has no food or toy aggression and would get along with any dog. He has only met cats at the groomer and was fine with one of them rubbing up against him. He is currently learning his manners when greeting and knows to sit. He knows his name and to come when called. At the dog park he acts very well. He enjoys greeting other dogs and running through the weeds. He does get a little excited when women try to talk to him at the park and jumps up. He is an intelligent boy that learns quickly with an eagerness to please. With a routine, he is potty trained. He is ready for his special forever home.

Taz is a 2 year old, black tri on the smaller side weighing only 35lbs. He has medium energy but needs regular exercise daily. Because of his start to life, we believe he would do better in a home with children 12+ years old because of the sudden movements and squeals from young children. He is up to date on all vaccines, crate trained and is microchipped.
