An avid rescuer has fallen ill and needs help getting some of his pets adopted:

WALTER or WALT, a black DSH, M/N, about 5 years old. He was rescued as a kitten found on a job site. He's a big boy now! He's very sweet and friendly with people he knows. He's a little hesitant with new people and needs some time to warm up. He likes to sit next to you and sleep on the bed with you. He loves to be brushed and he really loves catnip, but it makes him pretty crazy!
