My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Merida is an approx. 1 year old sweet goofy puppy. She is small for a Newfie but she’s still young! We don’t think she was socialized enough as a puppy. She gets startled easily when there’s an unexpected noises like a garbage truck lifting a bin or even a shoe scraping the pavement behind her. Her family will need to continue exposing her to new situations so she can continue to gain confidence. She loves her Kong especially when there’s peanut butter in it. She loves to run around the house with a squeaky toy in her mouth squeaking all the way but she’s rough on the toy and it really only lasts about 20 minutes! She’s pretty quiet, only heard her bark once when a stranger was running toward us. Merida is housebroken and almost trustworthy with free roam. We’re working on the idea of “the trashcan is not my toy box.” She loves attention and has no problem running up to you for love but she’s not a jumper. We’re not yet sure of her reaction to cats. She seems interested in dogs while on walks but does not act aggressive.
