Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh...the joy that is bursting forth from Cooper in every way. He's free (and so excited) from a very scary high-kill shelter that ran out of space for this sweet guy. Farfel's was contacted because it just wasn't a possibility that Cooper was truly going to face his death. This gorgeous (sorry about the before photo...we'll update to show the beauty of this Poodle mix) guy is now safely in a foster home in Texas working on his home skills and going here and there with his foster mom to further socialize this engaging (while initially shy) pup. Farfel's came forth to provide Cooper with a new life that would be safe and respectful...and of course super-loving! Cooper... an approximately 2 year old and 15 lb Lhasa/poo...has the softest cottony coat ever..you just want to pet him endlessly. Cooper is exploring his foster home in Texas with curiosity mixed with a smile that never leaves his adorable face. He gets happier with each day that he's free from his previous situation and celebrates in his own devoted and sweet manner. When he's comfortable...he's a comedian that keeps all who meet him smiling and filled with love for his adorable antics. In the end, however, his favorite spot is a lap where this devoted companion can cuddle up and show his calm devotion. Cooper appears to like other dogs and enjoy their company (unless they jump on his head) but doesn't require them in his life to be happy...it's all about his people! We think he'd be great with retirees or a family with older kids who is present and chooses to include Cooper in their daily activities. He's well-behaved and learning all the time to be a dedicated and loving companion who can be taken along no matter what adventure his family is up to. Cooper is a non-shedding pup and will therefore require great nutrition and periodic grooming to keep his coat healthy and matt-free.
Cooper will be transported to Denver on 8/1. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested in this exceptional companion, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
