Malcolm Moogie was abandoned by his owners when they moved out of the local apartment complex. He made his home under a storm drain for a couple of months (we think) until we rescued him for our own and sent him to the vet for a thorough work up to ensure tip top health and cleanliness. This cat is well-mannered, friendly, insists on hanging out wherever you are. Sports? You bet. Lifetime movies? You bet. Working in the home office? You bet. Cooking dinner? You bet, but he'll hang out off to the side so he doesn't get stepped on.
He is also friendly enough with other cats who want and/or need another cat buddy. Unfortunately, our other cat has morphed into a misanthropic bully and now, we need to find Malcolm a better home where he can be truly loved with no risk of being attacked while in the litter box.
Malcolm has been neutered, microchipped, blood tested, is current on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. A copy of the vet records proving the thorough work up will be given to the new owner upon adoption.
Reasons to adopt him:
• An incredibly grateful attitude for being rescued
• Follows you around the house
• Likes playing Red Laser Dot
• Loves lap snuggling
• Loves tummy rubs, head scratching, and being brushed
• An intelligent conversationalist (typical Persian dulcet tones)
• Doesn't like heights = no jumping on the ceiling fan
• Smart (show him the litter box once and there will be no oops! occurrences)
• Travels well (although he will sing to you until the rhythm of the car lulls him to sleep)
Caveats: Malcolm would do best in a quiet owner environment as an indoor only cat. While he uses the litter box on the patio or verandah, he is definitely NOT interested in experiencing life on the streets EVER again.
He is approximately 10 years old and is amazingly sprightly and healthy. Just an overall sweet natured cat with no vices, who just wants to be loved.
