Back in the spring of 2010, we received a call from a woman named Babbs who lived out in the country in Leake County MS. She was, as is typical in Mississippi, on a road where people constantly dumped dogs, and Babbs always took them in and cared for them until she could find a home for them. Only this time, our friend was not able to care for the dogs dumped on her road. She was going into hospice care and would not be coming back home. The mama dog and her pups dumped this spring day needed help and Babbs could not be the helper this time. We named the mother dog after her rescuer because this dog was so very caring and protective of her 3 month old pups. Just like the human Babbs. We agreed to take the sweet, yet very scared dog into our care and here she remains with us. We also have two remaining pups found elsewhere in this listing. Her pups are Belle and Snoopy who are equally sweet, yet not as shy. As Babbs the dog has gotten more accustomed to our care, she has opened up and blossomed as a loving and sweet dog.
