My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cooper is one big, beautiful black boy. He is 3 years old and weighs in at 70+ lbs. We believe Cooper to be possibly a Lab/Newfoundland mix, but whatever he is, he is just a big handsome teddy bear with a beautiful soft shiny curly black coat. Cooper was found in a rural shelter where he was turned in by his owner. He was heartworm positive. Cooper has had his heartworm treatment and is now heartworm free and living a very healthy life. Cooper likes everyone he meets. He loves human companionship, gets along well with other dogs and even likes the kitties. He has been well socialized with men, women and older children and would do well in just about any home. Cooper is a sweet boy, but can be strong headed at times. He does love all the attention he gets for being a good boy though and takes treats very gently. Going for long walks or runs would make him very happy or even running and playing in the yard. He would be considered a medium energy boy and would make a great candidate for obedience classes. Cooper likes getting hugs, being talked to and getting belly rubs. He is quite the charmer. Cooper has been neutered, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He is also crate trained and kept on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. Cooper would be wonderful with someone who is a strong leader and can show him the ropes.
