My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRENDAN and BRODY were found wandering, abandoned in the Everglades, known to be S. Florida's dumping grounds for pets. There they quickly become gator or snake food. These two look like brothers, about 10 mo. old, pure bred shortie JACK RUSSELL TERRIERS. How they got there we can't know, but we can imagine. Now they are safe here with us. They are now neutered, updated on all vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and ready to be part of your family. BRENDAN and BRODY can be adopted separately or together. Adoption fee $200 each. REMEMBER, you are not buying the dog, you are paying us back for vet costs to ready this dog for adoption. Also remember - 100% of the money is used to ready other dogs for adoption and is tax deductable to you. YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST TO BE CONSIDERED TO ADOPT. Go to www.AlmostHomeFlorida.com to fill out an online application.
This dog will only be adopted to someone with a securely fenced yard. Underground fencing is NOT safe for a Jack Russell. It is required that the household have no small children (under 6) as terriers do NOT make good pets for households with very young children, and no small animals (cats, birds, ferrets, hamsters, etc.) as terriers were bred to hunt and can kill small animals. Jack Russell terriers are not suited to apartment or condo life, and it would be unwise to expect them to be anything other than what they were bred to be. The hunting instincts and prey drive cannot be trained out of these terriers and they will stay active in this way all their lives, even up to 15 to 16 years old and older.
