My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Denver is one cool dude. He loves to greet everyone he meets with a big smile and he is a super sweet guy. Denver is a master at fetch and, of course, smelling stuff. He gets along well with his foster brother and sister and can play chase with the best of them! Although Denver has some built in entertainment with his foster brother and sister he has no problem playing solo and keeping himself busy. There is nothing cuter than watching this guy play fetch by his own devices...adorable. Denver is also learning his basic commands and is doing quite well. Another awesome thing about Denver is he is great around his human toddler foster brother....when this little human comes up begging for a game of tug-o-war Denver gently agrees and even lets the little guy win occasionally...Denver also is up for a game of toddler - dog chase when asked and is always very respectful. Denver is a beagle at its finest....or at least close to it :)

Denver is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs about 20 pounds. He's a happy go lucky kind of boy and very sweet to boot. He gets along well with other dogs and hasn't met a person he hasn't loved. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Sunday September 21, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, at their new location, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
