Britni's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Britni's Story...
Britni was found In February of 2014 in pretty bad shape with mange. Britni is about a four years old, 35-40 lbs, and is thought to be a spaniel/pointer/lab mix. She is a sweetheart, very friendly, and loves other dogs. She is a lot of fun! She LOVES water, she also loves to hide things. She gets along good with other dogs and loves to run - she is very active. Britni is also a talker! She does an adorable little howl to greet her fosters every day. She would do best with an active person, or someone with a big yard for her to play. If you are interested in meeting Britni please fill out an adoption application online at forgottendogs.org/adopt/application or email her foster mom at kellek-9@peoplepc.com - and be sure to specify Britni. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Britni, a Houston Brittany/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brittany/Pointer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Brittany/Pointer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brittany/Pointer breeders who help with Brittany/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
