Paulie (adoption pending)'s Story...
I am 3 years old. I am an affectionate-loving guy. I like to receive attention, and I especially love to be on people’s laps! That means I don’t like to be alone. Rubbing against people’s legs a lot is a way I show my affection and love. I also like to chase crumbled paper balls. Having a lot of doting people around and that they will play with me is best because I can get energetic if I am played with. However, my number one hobby is still to relax on people’s laps! I also like to be petted a lot, and play with cat toys! Of course, any toy is okay as long it is smaller than me! I can have a curious side that can get me into trouble. Like all cats, I need my break and nap time. To have nice claw stretch, I need to scratch something. Overall, I am a playful, yet loving cat who needs attention.

Please call CARE @ 804-288-9797 and ask about this handsome boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paulie (adoption pending), a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
