Boo's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Boo's Story...
I am a 8 year old girl who lost her owner to the war; he was deployed. No one in his family could take me in while he's overseas. I am laid-back (I don't jump up on people) and get along with dogs, cats, & kids. I could loose a few pounds, so my foster family has me on special food ... but that won't be forever, just until I get my girly-dog figure back. I like car rides and I walk nice on a leash. I am up-to-date on all shots, microchipped, spayed, and taking heartworm & flea preventatives. My adoption fee is $75. If you are interested in me, please fill out an application at http://www.shhspets.com/adoptionapplication.html; once approved, my foster parents will make arrangements for you to meet me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boo, a Ionia Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ionia, or seeking a Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ionia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ionia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ionia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ionia paves the way for another one to be saved.
