My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yoda is a little male Chi mix puppy born 6/9/14. He was the smallest of Peony's pups. Yoda is a special needs baby. Though Yoda is a sweet, adorable and wonderful puppy, he has some medical needs any potential adopter will need to understand and be fully prepared to help him manage throughout his life. Yoda was born with hydrocephaly, and will need to be on medication for the rest of his life. As a result, he will likely not be able to travel by plane, as the added pressure to his brain will probably not be good for him. He may also have a shortened life. He may even have additional genetic abnormalities that, due to his size, we are unable to test for as of yet that may require him to be on a special diet or even to have a later surgery. When he is big enough, his family will need to have the vet perform a liver function test to ensure that all of his health needs are being met and be prepared for his care for the long term.
A video of him can be seen on his Petfinder profile. https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/29883411/
It is going to take a special person with a true passion for animals who won’t mind that he isn’t going to be the least expensive pet to have, to adopt him.

The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping/microchip registration, and flea/heartworm preventative up to the point of adoption. In the first 30 days after adoption we offer a free physical examination, nutritional assessment, and wellness consultation to help make sure that the new adoptee has the best start in life in their new home. There is a $20 discount on the total donation if you adopt two or more orphans at the same time.
