My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name ks Betty Lou. I am about 1 1/2 yrs old and I weigh about 25 lbs.
I was found by some workers at a truck dealership.
I was out back in their scrap yard. I had been there for a couple of days but I was scared and when people would come near me I would become defensive. It was strictly out of fear, but I wouldn't warm up to anyone. When the girl from the pound came out to get me, I was underneath of a box truck trailer. I wouldn't come anywhere near her. The girl didn't want to leave me there because I was right next to a very busy road. Cars speed right by and I would have likely gotten hit.
I was in the corner under the trailer and after a few minutes, she was able to get me on the catch pole (no other methods would work as I was too far out of reach. I was terrified, but didn't give her any trouble getting into the crate.
Once she got me back to the pound and inside the building I warmed right up to her and just huddled up next to her. I just wanted her to to pet me and love me.
I am very nervous, but once I learn that I can trust you, I am the sweetest girl.
I LOVE to sit on laps and kiss faces.
Due to my nervous nature, at this time, the pound feels I would do best in a home without children.
If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 28,2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
