Lady Bird's Story...
I can’t come with you?

Lady Bird was relinquished to the Coronado Animal Care Facility by her owner when she moved. Her new housing would only let her have two cats, so she kept her two older cats and gave up Lady Bird.

In addition to her stunning good looks, Lady Bird has one of the most charming personalities we’ve ever seen in a feline.

She meows when she sees anyone showing any interest in her, asking them to please come in and spend some time with her. Once in her room, she chatters up a storm at first telling you all about her day. Then she settles down for some quality time with you.

She adores pets and will roll and nuzzle your hand as you stroke her silky fur. Lady Bird is still very playful and particularly loves interactive play.

Although she is considered one of our Baby Boomers at 10 years young, she is in extremely good health. Her former feline companions are each 20 years old and going strong, so their mom obviously takes great care of her cats.

If you are looking for a super affectionate feline companion that will greet you, snuggle with you and give you the ultimate in unconditional love, Lady Bird is the purrfect cat for you! Come meet Lady Bird to see for yourself what an amazing cat she is.

You can meet Lady Bird at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Lady Bird, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please contact the Cat Adoption Team online or call Bob at 619-840-9727.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Bird, a Coronado Turkish Van cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Turkish Van for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Turkish Van cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Turkish Van breeders who help with Turkish Van rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
