Trey's Story...
Meet Trey, a 2 year old Shepherd mix that has had a rough couple of months, but has a happy and loving spirit and can't wait to meet his new family! He was involved in a car accident a couple months ago and had to have his left front leg amputated, and after all he went through his owners decided they didn't want him back and were going to have him euthanized, but thankfully a foster stepped up to take over his care. He had to learn to walk with only three legs, but did amazingly well and can even swim now! Trey is a loving soul, and just wants to be with his people wherever they are. He gets along great with other dogs, and has been good with cats as well! Trey is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to go home today! Come and meet this special boy at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, we are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trey, a Benbrook German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
