I am a nice boy, blind at a young age and looking for someone to love me and a great home!
I'm Remy, a wonderful, friendly, small, 3 year old Cavalier/Min Pin mix boy. I was found as a stray and taken to a shelter, where I found a home earlier this year with a nice family. Then I got picked up again by animal control and the shelter tried to locate my owners, and learned
that they had moved to a different military base. They told the staff that they didn't want to reclaim me and signed me over to the shelter. Then I came to rescue.
I am healthy, neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots. I am people friendly and a real sweet guy. On my initial vet visit, these nice folks were told that I am might be blind, so I was also sent to the eye specialist. He looked me over and reported back that I am indeed blind with possible partial sight due to a genetic disorder called Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Please don't let this stop you from giving me the loving home that I deserve. Due to my blindness, I will probably do best as an only dog as I seem to want to dominate a few of the cockers here at the rescue and I cannot be adopted to anyone living in an apartment or condo as I have a loud bark and might disturb the neighbors. Please adopt me, love me and give me the perfect home that I deserve........because I am special and want to spend a great rest of my life with someone who will take care of me as I am.
