My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a scary world it is out there when you're homeless and hungry...especially when you only weigh 12 lbs. Isabella, a gorgeous 12 - 18 month old purebred Poodle, found herself in this situation through no fault of her own. Her plight was the result of irresponsibility and neglect after a car accident. Isabella was..the vet believes..hit by a car and brought to a high-kill shelter where her injuries were ignored. Our rescuer (with the world's biggest heart) found Isabella in her cage at a shelter that was oblivious to the pain and lacerations of her injuries. Isabella was the luckiest girl around that day...she was discovered by a Farfel's rescuer with a kind soul. Kelley scooped Isabella up, left the shelter behind forever and immediately brought her to the vet to find out the extent of her injuries. It turned out that Isabella was very lucky not to have broken her legs or hips. It was necessary to stitch up her head but the vet did a great job and Isabella is healing perfectly with no long-term repercussions of her accident. As Isabella is getting stronger...and sweeter than ever if possible...it's finally her turn to have a permanent home with overflowing love and serious commitment. Isabella was a matted mess on the outside..but nothing but pure and grateful devotion and love on the inside! Isabella's rescuer brought her home and dedicated herself to caring for this deserving lap dog..and reassuring Isabella's abandoned psyche that she was safe. The decision was made that she deserved a new life in Colorado... Isabella would so love walks down mountain trails. She loves being outside and is capable of being a great companion for hiking.
Isabella is definitely searching for a human friend that she can devote her heart to....and that person will be the recipient of 100% of what this little dog has to offer. She's a steadfast companion that takes her relationships seriously. We're searching for an adult home for Isabella...a retired couple or individual who enjoy spending lots of time with a fuzzy pup would be great! It's not that Isabella dislikes kids..we just feel she'd be more secure in the calmer reliability of an adult home. She also gets along with other gentle dogs and would enjoy that relationship. She would blossom with the attention and caring touch of a dedicated family. In this environment, Isabella will glow with joy at her incredible luck. She also loves to please...and whens she's successful, she struts her stuff with high self-esteem. Isabella is a non-shedding pup (with a very bad haircut) and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her cotton-soft (and said to be hypoallergenic) poodle coat healthy and matt-free. Isabella will be completely vetted, vaccinated and temperament tested prior to her transport to fulfill our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-adjusted dogs.

Isabella will arrive on transport in Denver in mid-August. If interested in this exceptional companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
