My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tower is an 8 year old beautiful Australian Cattle Dog female that weighs 45 pounds and is in great health. She is very obedient, loves to chase a tennis ball, enjoys swimming, likes hiking (long walks), and has the sweetest face. Being outside with room to roam is great for her. She is wickedly smart and enjoys being mentally stimulated. In addition, she is crate trained, housetrained and invisible fence trained. Her coat is beautiful and although it looks wiry and coarse, it’s actually very soft and snuggly. She is scared of fireworks and loud noises in general. Also, she is cautious around adult males until she gets to know them. Since about a year old she has lived with a male Blue Heeler and they have gotten along nicely and without issue with Tower playing the role of alpha. We have had Tower since puppyhood and we are so sad that she needs to leave us. Lately she has become anxious, nervous, and unsettled around young children that are playing loud and running hard. This is wearing on her emotional balance and has led to her being slightly depressed and not her bubbly self. We believe that she just needs a more adult environment where she can thrive and be more relaxed. Young children are not for every older dog to have to endure. The dog was first with her current family and then the children came along and are very active and loud. Our hope is that she will be the star of her new family, will get loads of attention, and can live out the rest of her life feeling happy and loved. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
