My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COLE is a 6 year old black neutered male who weighs 85 pounds. He came to us with his buddy, Harley. Cole & Harley are a bonded pair that have been together since they were puppies; they MUST be adopted together. They came from the country so not suitable to live in an apartment or busy neighborhood.

Cole and Harley are friendly and like attention. Cole is laid back and easy going, Harley is a little shy when she first meets you but is fine after a few minutes. When you toss them a toy both chase after it but Harley normally ends up with it. Where one goes the other is not far behind. Cole acts like he is the boss and is the first to investigate new things and places but always checks to see if Harley is close by. They are good size dogs, playful, strong and smart and quick to catch on to the routine. Good with other dogs they think small dogs are squirrels. They have pretty good manners and knows sit, come, down. Pull on lead as they have not been on one except to go to vet. House and crate trained though they haven't been in a crate since they were puppies. They are both approved for kids aged 10+.

Cole & Marley story ~ The shelter got a call from a family that wanted to give up their labs as they kept be breaking through their underground fence. Cole and Marley had been with the family since they got them as puppies. They are AKC and Marley was used for breeding she had several litters before they got Cole neutered.

Update (11/17): Cole is just a love bug! All he wants to do is get petted and loved on. He was a breeder dog in his past life but that doesn't seem to bother him. All he wants is your attention and affection. He has settled in nicely to the foster's home and has been fantastic with the two resident labs. They all cuddle together. Cole is fully housetrained, crate trained, and knows most commands. He is more than happy to be a couch potato or go out for a walk - whichever you prefer. He is up for a good game of fetch in the backyard (he will normally let Harley win) and will maybe chase a squirrel or two. He takes treats super gentle and will not beg for food. Cole does not countersurf, nor does he get on furniture. Cole can be trusted to have free roam of the house and will not touch a thing.

Update (8/14): Are you looking for the perfect, easy-peasy pair? Well look no further! Cole and Harley are it! They are super low-key in the house, fully house-trained, and crate-trained. They so want to please, and training has been very easy. They know all of the basic commands, and after only 4 days of living with their foster, they have conquered the very scary hardwood floors and stairs. They have been getting along great with the resident labs. Harley loves to have a tennis ball in her mouth and Cole is very happy go lucky! He will play with the ball but loves being by his human's side. They are great riders in the car, and they don't make a peep in the am - unless you get out of bed, then they are all tail wags and excited to start their day.

Update (8/06): Two labs are so much easier than one, especially with these two! Harley and Cole are just about perfect! Cole is more of a velcro dog and loves to lay by his fosters feet. He will follow you room to room, except for the scary stairs. He loves other dogs and gets along great with the two resident labs. He takes treats very gently and is fully house and crate trained. Cole also knows his basic commands and rides well in the car. He is a very happy dog and his tail is always wagging. Harley is just a love. She is very sweet and affectionate and has eyes that will just melt you. She is a little shy at first with new situations but, that is already getting better. She is doing fine with the two resident labs. She takes treats very gently and knows her basic commands. She is crate and house trained and rides well in the car.
