Sonia's Story...
Hi there! My name is Sonia! I am a very pretty brown tabby with expressive eyes. Through them you can see I am very sweet .If you want a cat who wants to live in your lap and get petted all the time, THAT’S ME! I live for lap time! Whenever my foster mom sits down, I’m watching for my chance to jump up!

I was adopted once before but I was bullied by the resident cat and the family returned me so I wouldn’t be stressed all the time. I get along with other cats at my foster mom’s and her 2 big dogs but I really would like to be the only cat in the house. Now I follow my foster mom around the house hoping for attention. I will jump into her lap all the time and want to just stay there but then she has other cats to pet, too. I will also stand up on my back legs and then stretch out against her when she is standing up. I will look at her as if to say “Can I have your attention now? Please?” So that’s why I need to be an only cat. I have so much love to give!

I am very playful and love to play with all kinds of toys like cat teasers and ping pong balls. I watch what’s going on outside the windows, too. I’m very curious! I have a sweet personality with a calm disposition. I love to play but I’m not wild or crazy.

Sonia is spayed, litterbox trained, has received age-appropriate vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonia, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
