Annie is a survivor of the kitties rescued by the HSUS from San Nicolas Island who came to live at C.A.R.E. with several others during the initial rescue phase. She is from a long, long line of feral kits who lived on the island for half a century until recent times when the Navy occupying the island decided they needed to go - one way or the other.
She has lived at C.A.R.E. since 2009 and, despite her long line of feral progenitors, has decided all humans ain't so bad. In spite of coming from 50 generations of feral kitties, she now loves being petted.
