UPDATE: Neco is now in a foster home. His diabetes is still not totally under control but is being closely monitored. He gets along well with the other doggies at the foster home and is just a totally adorable little doggie. See his latest pics in foster care.
Neco belonged to some people who either ignored or didn't recognize that something was wrong with him. They gave him away to some other people who DID see something was wrong. They took him to the vet to find that he was going blind and was seriously diabetic. They contacted C.A.R.E. for help and Neco is now one of our "Fur folk". We hope to have him in a foster home soon from our vets but his diabetes must first be stabilized. He will then need insulin and eye medication, probably for the rest of his life. His eyes do not produce tears in addition to the diabetes. However, he is the sweetest, most gentle and affectionate little thing imaginable!
