Addie's Story...
Name: Addie
Breed: American Bulldog mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Addie is a young adult female American Bulldog, a shorter but solid girl who enjoys running in the yard with the other dogs and then coming in for long naps on the couch with you. She is house trained (but expect accidents as she transitions) and crate trained, not much of a barker, and although she likes walks she's a homebody at heart, content to hang at home in her house and her yard. She likes kids, does well with kids 5 years and up is what she is used to, and lives peacefully with cats and other dogs, although enjoys being the only pet as well. Due to her size and not knowing what a clumsy oaf she can be when she plays, we require a home without really little kids and really small dogs, as we don't want her accidently hurting anyone. Somehow she knows to be extra careful with the cats.  Addie is a really affectionate, cuddly dog. For more pictures of Addie, check out her DropBox:

Requirements: Best with older kids/ dogs 30 pounds and up

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Addie, a Minneapolis American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
